WaterWipes Sensitive Make-up Removal Wipes

I have never really been a fan of make-up removal wipes but I am a big fan of WaterWipes baby wipes, so when they sent me their sensitive make-up removal wipes to try out I couldn't wait to use them.

Each pack contains 24 wipes that are 100% natural. They are made with 99.9% ultra-purified water, 0.1% citrus grapefruit seed extract and dead sea minerals!

I was actually very pleasantly surprised with these wipes, one wipe removed all of my makeup which I found very impressive..I had no tingling or stinging sensation and my face wasn't tight or dry after using them, it just felt clean and soft!
The wipes themselves are slightly textured, they are very strong and thick so they can handle a good scrub! I also left one wipe half out of the pack to see if it would dry out and it didn't!

I won't be ditching my cleanser just yet but I will definitely have these wipes on stand by for when I'm too tired to do my whole cleansing routine or if I'm away for a night! They are definetly the best makeup removal wipes I have used so far and the fact that they are free from chemical preservatives is definetly a plus!

Are you a fan of Bio-Oil? Check out their new app!!

Since having Ryan I am a massive fan of Bio-Oil. I didn't use it while I was pregnant with him and have been left with some stretch marks on the right side of my lower abdomen. I didn't get many but they were quite purple and against my pale skin they really stood out, which of course affected my confidence.

With a holiday coming up I wanted them to be faded as much as possible so I have been using Bio-Oil since I had him in December and I am delighted with the results, they are definitely much lighter.

I would recommend Bio-Oil 100% and its not just for stretch marks, it also helps scars, uneven skin tone, ageing skin and dehydrated skin and can be purchased from pharmacies Nationwide.

'The Bio‑Oil formulation is a combination of plant extracts and vitamins suspended in an oil base. It contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil™, which changes the formulation’s overall consistency, making it light and non-greasy. This ensures that the goodness contained in the vitamins and plant extracts is easily absorbed'

New Bio-Oil Bump Tracker Pregnancy App

Being such a big fan of Bio-Oil, I was delighted when Olivia from Bio-Oil sent me details of their new Bump Tracker Pregnancy App. It looks amazing!

It's a free app for Apple users where mums to be can track their changing bump from the early stages of pregnancy all the way through to their baby's arrival!

When you take the first picture of your bump, the app creates a ghost background image so that your bump profile is perfectly aligned for photography each time.
The app also sends you a reminder every week so you won't forget to take a picture!
It then pieces the pictures together and plays them in a time lapse video so you can see how your bump has grown!

When your baby is born, you can complete it with a picture of you holding the baby!
You can then enter baby's name, birth date and weight and share it via Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or Email.

Check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-AnAwRCVec

It can be downloaded from https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/bio-oil-bump-tracker/id821607677?mt=8 or http://www.newbaby-newbody.co.uk/bumptracker

Party Favours - Babybitz 'n' PartyPieces

I absolutely love planning parties, I love all the organising and all the little details that go into them.
I have only organised one children's birthday party yet though and that was for Ava's 1st birthday!

The one thing I did struggle with was the party bags, it's always nice to give them to the children that come to the party as a little thank you...but what do you put in them? I did look in a few shops for some small gifts but couldn't find anything appropriate or reasonably priced. I was also 7 months pregnant at the time with Ryan and didn't have the energy to stay looking, so in the end I just filled them with sweets!

Elaine Perry of Babybitz 'n' PartyPieces sent me her Super Saver Filled Party Bags and her Special Occasion Favour Packs to review, I'm so glad she did as they have given me some great ideas for future parties!!

What's in them??

Super Saver Filled Party bags - Price €1.00

For the party bag you can pick from four themes - football, pirate, fairy or unisex all of which have the following in them:

One Colouring Book
One box of Crayons
One set of Stickers
One pack of Jelly sweets

I received a pirate themed one and a fairy themed one. The only difference in the two was that they had different sets of stickers.

Special Occasion Favour Packs - Price €2.50

You can choose from plain white, pink stripe, blue stripe, green stripe or red stripe bags which will contain the following:

One puzzle/colouring book
One box of Crayons
One jigsaw
One pack of Jelly Sweets
One small surprise

I received a pink stripe bag and a blue strip bag. The small surprise in the pink bag was a set of stickers and in the blue bag was a pirate eye patch!

The bags are sealed with a sticker noting the occasion and can be personalised even further with a name and date.

What do I think??

These party bags/favour packs are a brilliant idea for any occasion. The items inside are of good quality and are definitely worth the price. In fact I was actually a bit shocked at how reasonably priced they are!! I love the fact that the stickers on the favour packs can be personalised for any occasion. Both the party bags and favour packs are suitable for children age 3-10 but if required the contents can be adapted to suit, which is great!
Without a doubt I would order these, such a great product that eliminates some of the pressures envolved in organising a party!

Gift Ideas: It's the Tiny Things that count!

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I love personalised gifts so i just want to give ye some gift ideas!

Last December two of my friends had very exciting things going on in their lives, one just got engaged and the other was christening her new baby. I wanted to get them both something that was personal and something they would have forever!

I came across a page on Facebook called Tiny Things and found exactly what I was after.
Joanne Mooney of Tiny Things handmakes personalised gifts for children, your home and special occasions.

What I bought:

Engagement Plaque

What I love about this Engagement Plaque is that it is so colourful and unique, it's such an eye catcher.
The quality of the plaque is very good. It is made from wood, is painted and personalised with the names of the bride and groom to be and the date of their engagement.

I always buy for others, gifts I would love myself and this is definitely something I would have loved when I got engaged.

Personalised Christening Frame

I love this frame because it is so different to the usual frames you get when you have a baby.
The frame is made from paper mâché, ribbons and wood and is then personalised with name of baby, date and location of christening. The ribbon has 'my princess' printed on it which is also a nice detail.
It's very cute, and to personalise it even further you can add a picture before you give it.
I waited until after the christening to give it so I was able to put a picture from the christening into it.

My 5 must have baby products

It's hard to know what your baby might need when he/she arrives! We all know the big things...Moses basket, cot, pram etc but its the small things that we can sometimes forget about.
In fact there was a lot of products out there that I had never even heard of until I had Ava.

Here are five products I use all the time, that I find invaluable:

1. Calpol Soothe & Care Nasal Spray

A lot of babies are very congested after birth and this can last for weeks, in Ryan's case months!
Ill never forget when Ava was born we woke one night thinking she wasn't able to breath properly because she was so caught up, the doctor confirmed it was just mucus and she advised me to buy a saline spray! It worked great, anytime she was caught up I'd give her a spray and she would have immediate relief. I made sure to have this for when Ryan arrived and I'm glad I did as he needed it more than Ava ever did.

2. Nuk Nasal Decongester

This works great with the nasal spray You just hold the nozzle up to one nostril, press the other nostril gently with your fingertip, squeeze the pump ball and then reduce pressure, this will remove the mucus from the nose!

3. Nuk Nail Clipper

I found this much easier to use than a baby scissors. My two would never leave mitts on them so using this every week was, and in Ryan's case is the only way to stop them from scratching their faces.

4. Avent Milk Powder Dispenser

The milk powder dispenser is a container that holds pre-measured amounts of formula.
My one has three compartments, enough for three feeds and can hold up to nine scoops.
This kept me from going insane during night feeds, it's so handy you just open the lid and poor into bottle! Also a must have for day outings!

5. Muslin Cloths

If your like me and have a baby with reflux (Both Ava and Ryan had reflux) you will know they get sick a lot! Muslin cloths are so handy for quickly cleaning up whilst feeding! I got mine in Dunnes but they can be found in loads of shops.

That personal touch!

Those of you that know me know I'm very much into personalised gifts and thank you's, so for Ryan's christening I wanted to do something I knew everyone would enjoy.....personalised chocolate bars!!

I had been searching the internet trying to find someone that did what I was looking for when I came across a page my friend had liked on Facebook, a company called 'I do Treats' based in Westport, Co. Mayo - I'm so glad I found them!!

I messaged Caroline at 'I do Treats' and got a prompt reply, she could do exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price and couldn't be any nicer. Two days later as promised the bars arrived! !
I loved them, they looked good and tasted good, what more could I ask for!
The personalised wrapper is really good quality and has a lovely finish to it.

All my christening guests were delighted with their thank you bars!
I would definitely recommend her 100% for any event.

Caroline can do personalised chocolate bars for any occasion and also does so much more!

Check her out on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/idotreats you wont be disappointed!
